WAV Android

Date: 2016

Role: Design Lead, Creative Director

Project type: UX/UI design, design systems

In September 2016, I was asked to create an Android experience for WAV Music, which would be based on the iOS redesign that I had just done previously. Unfamiliar with Android products and Material Design patterns at the time, this required a lot of research and competitive analysis. It also required a lot of iterative comparison across both iOS and Android to ensure cross-platform design consistency. In the end, I grew to be pretty adept at Material Design and Material Design Guidelines, which proved extremely valuable in creating cross-platform design systems at future companies, ensuring cross-platform consistency in future projects, and being able to better collaborate with Android developers on mobile projects.
