I’m Nikko, a product design leader with 12+ years experience shipping consumer health and wellness products at meaningful scale. I’m currently Head of Product Design at TrueFire Studios where I own design direction and quality across a portfolio of three music education products, three web apps, and two iOS apps. 

Prior to TrueFire, I've led design at companies like Calm, Fitbit, Lingo (Abbott), Alto Pharmacy, and MyFitnessPal building everything from sleep experiences and metabolic health coaching to premium subscription growth and 0-to-1 product launches. I've also managed and mentored design teams, collaborated closely with PMs, engineers, data scientists, researchers, and executives, and established design systems and processes that scale across multiple platforms and brands. 

As a former city planner and AmeriCorps alum, my multidisciplinary background has equipped me with strong foundations of empathy, collaboration, and leadership to succeed in any project. Coupled with my Masters in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, I’m confident in my abilities to execute on any part of the design process, and lead any project or team from concept to execution. Product strategy, systems thinking, and attention to detail are my go-to strengths. 

When not designing, I’m either running, gardening, watching HGTV, or eating (preferably burritos and donuts). As a millennial, I also enjoy speaking in gifs (emphasis on the hard G there). Please feel free to reach out if you’re interested in connecting!
